  • Rating12345

In its ongoing quest to equip the global water industry with the world’s most powerful and comprehensive geospatial infrastructure modeling and design solutions, MWH Soft, a leading global provider of environmental and water resources applications software, today announced the worldwide availability of the new InfoWater Executive Suite for power ArcGIS (ESRI, Redlands, CA) users. It’s the latest example of MWH Soft’s leadership in bringing even more powerful modeling and design tools to engineers and GIS professionals around the world. “Our InfoWater Executive Suite solution provides our valued users with something no other company can provide,” said J. Erick Heath, P.E., Vice President of Sales and Client Relations at MWH Soft. “This is the ultimate ArcGIS-centric decision support tool for water distribution systems. By accelerating all phases of the modeling workflow process — from basic planning studies to sophisticated design, rehabilitation, expansion, operation, leakage detection and vulnerability/risk assessment projects — it maximizes productivity and ensures quality at maximum cost savings.”

Leveraging unique, highly advanced engineering GIS technology, the suite is the only complete solution to offer seamlessly integrated network modeling, design and optimization capabilities, sophisticated data management and collaboration, and the unparalleled engineering technical support of MWH Soft. “This new suite is by far the best choice for any water utility and engineering organization looking to optimize their network modeling process,” says Heath. “We’re pleased to bring this best-in-class solution to the market.”

The Executive Suite delivers the complete water network geoengineering solution, providing all the modeling, analysis, design, optimization and data management software and communication tools users need in one package. It combines the industry-leading geocentric modeling and design software, InfoWater Suite, with highly advanced leak detection, sensor placement and pressure zone management capabilities as well as Google Earth™ and ArcExplorer™ modeling. Together, these tools enable greater productivity and performance at maximum cost-savings, facilitate faster, better-informed decision making, and support more efficient asset management and business planning. They also allow users to produce stunning and engaging project presentations.

The Executive Suite combines the following core software applications, previously sold separately:
InfoWater – Delivers state-of-the-art hydraulic, fire flow and water quality analysis with astounding speed and accuracy.
Sensor Location Manager – Optimizes online system monitoring for greater protection.
Leak Detection Manager – Uses step-testing to locate and eradicate significant sources of water loss for effective leakage management.
Pressure Zone Manager – Accelerates delineation and hydraulic diagram design of existing and proposed pressure zones and ensures accuracy of master planning projects.
NetView – Enables spatial modeling in Google Earth™ and ESRI ArcExplorer™.

The suite also features the following powerful extensions:
Designer – Identifies the optimal combination of network improvements that best meet desired system design/performance criteria at minimum cost.
Scheduler – Determines the most energy-efficient and cost-effective daily pump scheduling and operational policies.
Skeletonizer – Constructs credible hydraulically equivalent network models of any size.
Demand Allocator
– Accurately calculates and distributes water consumption throughout the network model.
Calibrator – Adjusts network parameters considering any combination of field pressure, tank level, and flow measurements to provide a rigorous model that best reflects what is actually occurring in the system.
WQ Calibrator – Calculates pipe wall reaction coefficients considering any combination of field water quality measurements to best reflect actual water quality conditions in the distribution system.
Valve Criticality Modeling – Carries out a detailed, comprehensive assessment of the resulting hydraulic impact of valve operations on customer service levels.
Protector – Conducts comprehensive vulnerability assessment to help secure the distribution system and respond with maximum effectiveness to threats to its safety.

The comprehensive nature of this bundle supports the increasingly widespread adoption of GIS, Genetic Algorithm optimization, and modeling technology by the water works industry. The release propels the InfoWater product suite applications into the next generation. It also furthers MWH Soft’s time-honored practice of continually adding value to its software and bringing unmatched modeling capabilities, backed by unsurpassed technical support, into the mainstream.

“Our customers are transforming the world around us for the greater good,” said Paul F. Boulos, Ph.D, MWH Soft’s President and Chief Operating Officer. “Our new InfoWater Executive Suite helps customers simulate reality, giving them access to the world’s most comprehensive engineering GIS tools. Armed with these tools, they have new power to effectively plan, manage, design, protect, maintain, and operate highly efficient, reliable and better-performing water infrastructure systems that promote the well-being and advancement of people everywhere. What’s more, they can make these achievements while staying competitive and improving ROI. We are proud to introduce this powerful new solution, knowing that it will make an immediate difference in people’s lives, our communities, and our society.”
