The world market leader for commercially used UAVs, MULTIROTOR service-drone.com, announces an important achievement in the development of its unmanned aerial systems for the B2B market: the Hexacopter ZX5, produced exclusively by the Berlin company for the industry leader of the surveying industry, Trimble, reaches the next evolutionary level. The product has been presented to its dealer network on Wednesday, July 20th.
From now on, the multi-functional drone will be delivered with a digital HD-video wireless system and the Sony Alpha 6000, including two lenses. There are a Pancake fixed focus lens and an exchangeable image stabilised zoom lens for video inspections. Further modules, such as a multi-spectral sensor, a thermography system with an extra RGB optic or the full-frame camera Sony Alpha 7, can be upgraded later. With the current release, the ZX5 has been integrated completely into the Trimble software suite, starting with the flight planning software Aerial ImagingTM , followed by the Trimble Business CenterTM and Trimble InphoTM. Geo-data can be sent directly from the copter to the ground station software and are saved in the image data directly as well. “This step enables higher efficiency and an optimal operation. The timing for the upgrade is perfect as the FAA just announced to simplify the approval procedure for commercial UAVs starting end of August 2016”, Stephan Feldhoff, COO of MULTIROTOR service-drone.com says. “We are expecting an increase in demand for UAVs in the U.S.”, Feldhoff adds.
With this important milestone, the Berlin company once more underlines its ambition in the professional development of UAV technology and the expansion of the B2B market leadership.
