Mission Critical Water Virtual Summit Online Now

  • Rating12345

Deloitte Consulting’s Will Sarni, Director and leader of the group’s Enterprise Water Strategy, Sustainability & Climate Change practice, will headline the keynote presentations today, March 2nd, 2011, for the live online launch of the Mission Critical Water Virtual Summit, a fully virtual online event dedicated to water sustainability issues.  Sarni will present an overview of facts and trends regarding water scarcity, current issues and trends for business regarding water risk and opportunities and “new rules” for thinking about water as critical business issue, and will present a perspective on how to build a global water stewardship strategy and key aspects of a successful global program.

Sponsored by Syngenta and Deloitte, the Mission Critical Water Virtual Summit will serve as a wake-up call that the era of cheap, easy access to water is ending.  In addition to raising awareness, the Mission Critical Water Summit will present actionable strategies, solutions, and best practices to determine how best to minimize water footprint, ensure the sustainability of water supply and to understand the impact of business operations on available water resources.  Syngenta’s CEO Michael Mack will join Sarni as a virtual keynote speaker, along with Jeff Fulgham of GE, Marcus Norton of CDP Water Disclosure, and representatives of various industries, NGOs and organizations dedicated to water issues.

Hosted on a state-of-the-art virtual event platform, the Mission Critical Water Virtual Summit will allow attendees to interact live from their desktop via IM and video chat with speakers and exhibitors.  Attendee registration to the virtual event is free-of-charge; visit www.MissionCriticalWater.com to register and login to the event.  The event kicks off on March 2nd in North American time zones, and is then repeated live on March 3rd in European time zones, and March 8th in Asian time zones, before going into an on-demand phase until mid-April.

Mark Barounos, President of conference organizer G2Events, said, “We are very excited to welcome both Deloitte and Syngenta as major event supporters.  The issues of water scarcity are increasingly important to businesses and governments worldwide, and the time is right for a virtual event that allows all parties worldwide to come together in a sustainable manner to discuss these issues.”
