Map of the Month: GfK Purchasing Power, Germany 2019

  • Rating12345

GfK’s Map of the Month for January shows the projected distribution of purchasing power in Germany in 2019.

According to GfK’s latest purchasing power prognosis, Germans will have €23,779 per person for consumer purchases, living expenses, recreation and saving in 2019. This amounts to a nominal per-person increase of 3.3 percent or €763 compared to the previous year. The purchasing power forecast is based on growing incomes in many sectors as well as the stable job market. Despite the overall predicted increase, the amount of purchasing power available to consumers differs widely from region to region.

Purchasing power insights allow retailers, manufacturers and service providers to optimize their sales and marketing strategies based on local market potential.
