Maersk Mega Ships Too Big for US

North American harbours are not effective enough for Maersk to place its new behemoth ships on routes to the continent, according to managing director Eivind Kolding. Kolding’s comments came as the company announced it had ordered ten ships, each with a capacity of 18,000 20-foot containers and a length of 400 metres.
