Jack Dangermond and Roger Tomlinson receive National Geographic’s Bell Medal

The National Geographic Society has awarded two Alexander Graham Bell Medals to Dr. Roger Tomlinson and Jack Dangermond for their extraordinary achievement in geographic research. The medals were presented by National Geographic Society Chairman Gilbert M. Grosvenor this afternoon at the ESRI International User Conference. A press release is included below.National Geographic’s Bell Medal has only been awarded once before. Bradford and Barbara Washburn, renowned explorers, mountaineers and mapmakers, received it in 1980 for their contributions to geography and cartography. Read More
