Intergraph announces the release of Geospatial Portal 2013 as part of Intergraph Geospatial Portfolio 2013. Intergraph’s powerful set of server solutions is now harmonized on the front end by one, integrated web client. Geospatial Portal is a full-blown application that provides both a web client and framework to find, build, exploit, and deliver geospatial web applications and solutions across the enterprise. In addition, Geospatial Portal can also connect to and provide the front end for other web services within the enterprise. With Geospatial Portal, it is now simpler and more convenient for users to share maps and services with others inside and outside of the organization.
“The new Geospatial Portal unites the power of all of your organization’s enterprise solutions via one, unified thin client” said Mladen Stojic, Vice President – Geospatial, Intergraph. “In addition, users now have the ability to more easily configure and customize various portals, allowing them to maximize their geospatial data.”
Geospatial Portal 2013removes the barriers associated with typical geoportal creation. Its powerful browser application allows users to visualize and share accurate geospatial data to collaborate with government agencies, commercial businesses, and the public. Installed and configured on a web application server, Geospatial Portal 2013 enables multiple users to access the site via web browsers. Geospatial Portal is the ideal mechanism for finding, viewing, and querying geospatial data published with standard SDI web services. It also integrates multiple sources into a single map view for easier navigation.
Key features of the Geospatial Portal 2013 include :
· New administration console for a more streamlined workflow: A single place for users to create and configure all aspects of server-side engines, web services and web applications.
· Connectivity to OGC and INSPIRE-compliant web service: Quality monitoring capabilities are provided
· Ability to run on mobile devices: Simplified interface when viewed with a mobile device
· Connectivity to ERDAS APOLLO: Consume and view data and services, browse and search the catalog, download and clip datasets, and create value-added data products on demand.
· Connectivity to GeoMedia WebMap: Access geospatial data managed by GeoMedia with GeoMedia WebMap Publisher Portal.
