Hi-tech ‘bird’ Looking for Gold in the Hills

A high tech $350,000 Canadian “bird” is flying above the Richmond Ranges looking deep into the hills for gold this week. The large torpedo shaped sensor is suspended beneath a helicopter that has been surveying parts of the ranges to the north-west of Blenheim. It’s known colloquially as a bird.
