Ground Stations in Foreign Countries can Enhance GLONASS Accuracy

Russia initiated accommodation of the differential correction and monitoring stations in foreign countries. The stations are to increase accuracy of GLONASS positioning, Head of Russian Space System company Yury Urlichich told news media. “The first station out of Russia already accommodated in Antarctica maintains continuous global monitoring for the GLONASS spacecraft. We are in position to continue this effort, and our intention is to install several more GLONASS stations abroad”, Urlichich states. Read More
