GEOSTAT 2011

  • Rating12345

The international GEOSTAT summer school provides training for young researchers and interested users on open-source software tools to analyse geographical data (http://geostat-course.org/). The summer school is conducted annually by reputated scientists in changing international locations (e.g. Split, Croatia 2009, Amsterdam, Netherlands 2008). The GEOSTAT 2011 will be held at the University Koblenz-Landau in Germany and more than 40 international participants are expected.

Furthermore, the summer school will be broadcasted world-wide via live video stream and will therefore reach a wide audience.A special concern of this years GEOSTAT is the financial support with respect to travel and accommodation costs for participants from developing countries. Since this can only be financed through sponsoring we would kindly ask you to support this event by a donation. Of course, sponsors will receive a contribution receipt and will appear on the course website and course materials with their name and logo. Moreover, sponsors (> 800 €) will also have the opportunity to present themselves to the audience via link on the website and flyers/brochures handed to the participants. Main sponsors (> 1500 €) will be additionally visible each in the live video broadcast and they may also present their products during the closing session. In case you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me!Thank you very much for your support in advance and best regards!Prof. Dr. Ralf B.
