Recently, the company announced the launch of Geopost Vision, a new entity dedicated to unlocking the value of the vehicle fleet data of its business units for the benefit of partners in mapping, smart mobility and infrastructure planning.

Launching Geopost Vision is a bold and strategic step to diversify its activities by leveraging the scale of its fleet and entering a fast-growing market. To accelerate this ambition, Geopost has created a dedicated business unit entirely focused on developing and commercializing this new data capability.
Data capture and delivery
“Instead of licensing data from a third-party vendor, we decided to acquire it ourselves for various reasons. First, owning the entire data chain is essential to ensure full compliance, reliability, and control over data quality. Second, it allows us to capture the complete value of the data we generate. That is why we have built a team of highly skilled professionals at Geopost Vision with the expertise to capture, process, and monetize the data ourselves”, says Geopost CEO Martin Calmels.
Data is captured continuously and updated in real time as deliveries take place: “This means our customers receive exceptionally fresh information, often refreshed on an hourly basis. Through our API, customers can automatically retrieve the precise imagery they need at the exact locations they request. No web interface or specialized software is required: a fully automated delivery process ensures the data flows directly into clients’ systems with minimal friction”.
Current coverage in Europe
Geopost already provide extensive coverage across 11 European countries and millions of kilometers of roads, including the UK, France, Spain, Italy, and Germany. By the end of 2026, it will cover more than 20 countries across all of Europe. Today, four main verticals are addressed: mapping, mobility, particularly autonomous vehicles, insurance, and road maintenance.
But this is just the beginning, says Calmels: “Our data opens an entirely new field of use cases, with significant potential in areas such as smart cities and infrastructure planning. By enabling customers to update their maps with highly granular and extremely fresh data, we help improve road safety with more accurate speed limits, traffic signs, and road attributes. This ultimately enhances mobility for everyone. Our broad and growing coverage already allows a wide range of sectors to begin adopting and testing our data.”
CES 2026
Geopost Vision recently exhibited at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, alongside its camera and imagery platform provider, Nextbase, to demonstrate how its use of advanced in-vehicle camera systems is enabling a new era of geospatial data collection at scale.”
Most of Geopost’s vehicles are equipped with the Nextbase IQ connected dashcam, customized specifically to meet internal operational and data-quality requirements. This advanced hardware enables capturing 4K imagery at 30 FPS, complemented by high-precision GPS at up to 10 Hz and an IMU sampling rate of up to 416 Hz, delivering exceptionally rich and reliable data at scale.
