The aim is to give the research agenda a strong basis through wide stakeholder consultation. By doing so we hope that the research community, the governance practitioners and the research donors will take ownership of the agenda. Once ready, the agenda will assist donors of scientific research (e.g. European and national research funding and development agencies) to decide where to set forest governance research priorities.
It is important for us to distill strategic directions in relation to our work in the EU FLEGT Facility and the EU REDD Facility. Thereby we recognise the interrelations of FLEGT (Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade) and REDD (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation) in the matrix of forest governance, policies and instruments. The result will therefore be a research agenda for the global governance research community as a whole.
It takes generally between 5 and 10 minutes to complete a survey section. The time it takes to complete the whole survey depends on the number of sections that you choose to contribute to. Please click the following link or copy it into your web-browser. The survey will remain open until 6th of May 2011.
