May 19, 2015 — As of 15 May, it is possible for customers in the Nordic countries to buy offshore positioning solutions from Trimble through EIVA. By adding Trimble to the list of companies EIVA represents, the company now offers a wider portfolio of positioning equipment, the possibility of even speedier delivery, and easy product upgrade.
Products from the positioning technology specialist Trimble have been added to the EIVA portfolio of solutions for offshore construction and survey operations. The two companies have entered into an agreement naming EIVA Trimble representative in the Nordic countries, with effect from 15 May 2015.
The representative agreement covers the entire Trimble marine systems product range, from GNSS receivers, sensors, and total stations to antennas for marine applications.
Thereby, the previous list of positioning equipment offered by EIVA has been expanded.
‘The list of Trimble offshore positioning solutions allows us to cover a wider palette of high-end products, and offers us a single point of contact rather than turning to several different suppliers,’ said EIVA CEO Jeppe Nielsen.
Martin de Kievit, Worldwide Business Development Manager, for Trimble Europe, noted, ‘We are very excited to have EIVA on board as our distributor for Scandinavia. They will now take care of our extended portfolio of positioning solutions we offer for their region and are now also part of our worldwide professional Trimble Marine distribution network.’
Trimble’s GNSS solutions are software-based. This means that customers can easily buy a piece of equipment and later on choose to upgrade it with additional options, should new requirements arise.
Moreover, as Trimble’s products are stock items in Europe, EIVA is able to reduce the delivery time compared to that of the previously offered products.
