Depiction Support Update: New Version, Icons & University Class

  • Rating12345

A new update, Depiction 1.2.2c, is now available.`You can download the update immediately, or wait for Depiction to update automatically later this week. There are several improvements that will be of interest:

  • Access to a large amount of new NAIP aerial imagery–you may want to clear your cache to view it;
  • Printed depictions now have a white background if no other background source is selected;
  • The default image hovertext is no longer the source file path, and the source field can now be edited.
  • The next session of Depiction University is beginning!
    This is a great way to quickly become a Depiction power user, and this second session will be self-paced, allowing more flexibility for those with busy schedules. Click here to learn more, including student testimonials from the first class and a sample test question from the final written practical.
  • Homeland Security Icons available now
    We’ve had many requests for this, so we’re happy to have new icon packs based on the emergency symbology created by the Homeland Security Working Group. Packs of Incident, Operations, Natural Event and Infrastructure icons are available for purchase.

If you have questions about these, and the latest update in particular, we’ll be using 1.2.2c during this week’s Depiction 101 this Wednesday.
