A thought-provoking discussion exploring how government, academia and industry can unite to defend the data that underpins our daily lives will take place at Space Park Leicester next month.
Return of the Resilience: Securing the Galaxy of Data is the title of the next Space Park Conversations event taking place on Thursday, 4 December at the University of Leicester’s £100 million science and innovation hub.
Dr Ismini Vasileiou, Associate Professor at De Montfort University, will draw on her leadership of the CyberGrowth programme, a fully funded scheme offering skills and development to improve the digital resilience of regional small businesses, and her Cyber Workforce of the Future White Paper. The Director of the East Midlands Cyber Security Cluster believes that resilience, not just security, if the true key to survival in the digital age.
She said: “In a galaxy not so far away — our own — the battle for cyber resilience is intensifying. From satellites and sensors to supply chains and systems, our connected world is under constant pressure from evolving digital threats.
“Join us for a thought-provoking session that connects cyber resilience to the future of space, innovation, and national capability, and discover why everyone has a role to play in safeguarding the future of our connected world.
“Come along to explore how government, academia, and industry can unite to defend the galaxy of data that underpins our daily lives.”
Space Park Conversations is Space Park Leicester’s regular programme of free public talks bringing together leading experts from across science, technology, engineering and beyond.
Each session offers unique insights into the work shaping our world and our understanding of the universe.
