DAT/EM Summit Evolution Compatible with Blue Marble’s Global Mapper

Hallowell, Me., Feb.16, 2015—The new Global Mapper Extension from DAT/EM Systems International connects Global Mapper from Blue Marble Geographics with any edition (Professional, Feature Collection or Lite) of DAT/EM’s famous Summit Evolution stereoplotter. The extension is provided at no additional cost with any purchased or supported Summit Evolution license. It enables Summit Evolution to be a 3D digitizing device for Global Mapper and allows Global Mapper projects to utilize the tools of Summit Evolution.

Global Mapper is an affordable, powerful, and easy-to-use GIS application capable of displaying, converting, and analyzing virtually any type of geospatial data. Once connected, the DAT/EM Toolbar activates Summit Evolution functions directly from Global Mapper’s home window. Existing DAT/EM Toolbar functions include :

  • Settings for Summit Evolution
  • Sync Global Mapper data with Summit
  • Superimposition of the data vectors on the stereo imagery
  • Panning options
  • Display options
  • 3D line and spot elevation drawing
  • And more…

The second generation beta is included with the Global Mapper Version 16 or higher and Summit Evolution version 7.1 or higher.
