The Board of the Scottish European Green Energy Centre (SEGEC) is pleased to announce that Chris Bronsdon has been appointed as Chief Executive of SEGEC from 1 October 2010.  Chris brings broad experience of the energy scene from his work with British Energy, the Scottish Energy and Environment Foundation and SQW Energy. In new role Chris will provide day to day leadership to the SEGEC team, building on existing successes of the organisation in its first year and delivering more successful projects for EU funding, including under the New Entrants Reserve.  A key early priority will be to take forward a review of the SEGEC business plan to build a sustainable funding model for the future.  The Board also wishes to thank Duncan Botting for his leadership and success as Interim CEO while also carrying out his continuing role as Executive Chair. Executive Chair Duncan Botting said ”SEGEC has achieved much success in its first year of operation. I look forward to working closely with Chris and the Board to exceed the already impressive achievements accomplished by the SEGEC team.” Chris Bronsdon added “SEGEC has a pivotal role to play in delivering energy infrastructure in Scotland and I’m delighted to be joining to work with Duncan, the board and an established team to build on the success of SEGEC and that of Team Scotland.” Read More
