SkyTech is a two-day B2B event for the commercial UAS industry. Now in its second year SkyTech will include an exhibition, 3 conferences, workshops, product launches and marketing opportunities for the commercial UAS community.
SkyTech Opening Times:
Day One (27th January) – 8.30am-9pm
Day Two (28th January) – 8.30am-5pm
The EuroCOW, the European Calibration and Orientation Workshop will be held from February 10th to February 12th, 2016 on the EPFL campus, located in Lausanne, Switzerland (Reachable in 1h from Geneva International Airport by public transportation).
This biennial meeting intends to bring together the world experts, both from public and private sectors, to present and discuss the recent findings and developments on Sensor Calibration and Orientation. With the recent development of autonomous platforms, this traditional field of photogrammetry and geodesy integrates with robotics, computer vision and system control.
The organizers are setting the conditions for a practical, informative and informal three-day meeting in a relaxed atmosphere, and expect to attract real experts with hands-on experience in the field. The presented full papers will be published in ISPRS archives.
The inaugural GIM International Summit – taking place on 10-12 February 2016 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands – is an initiative of GIM International. The GIM International Summit will draw thought leaders and key decision-makers from the global geomatics sector.
The GIM International Summit is focused on discussing the future of the field – for educational institutes, industry members and policymakers alike. The discussion will be fuelled by speakers from outside the traditional geomatics world, all of whom are experts in their own field. They will explain the needs and desires of the wider world and how they would like to see the geomatics sector develop.
The summit will be very much based on the concept of ‘inside looking out’ rather than merely insiders’ perspectives. The main topics of the Summit – Water, Food Security and Social Justice – will be brought together under the overarching theme of ‘Seeking Space for Future Development’. The GIM International Summit will be future oriented, forward looking, explorative and sometimes even provocative.
The GIM International Summit will offer ample opportunities to network with peers, both during the conference and at social events throughout the cosmopolitan city of Amsterdam.
Endorsing partners of the GIM International Summit are Kadaster International, ITC University of Twente, FIG, GSDI, ICA, ISPRS, and RICS.
The Conference Committee comprises Martin Kodde from Fugro, Rohan Bennett from ITC, Kees de Zeeuw from Kadaster International, and Gemma Betsema, LANDac, together with Wim van Wegen and Durk Haarsma from GIM International.
Time is running out to book your place at Spatial Dimension’s 2016 FlexiCadastre User Conference to be held at the Two Oceans Aquarium, V&A Waterfront, Cape Town, South Africa on Friday 12th February 2016. Our conference takes place immediately after the popular Mining Indaba Conference in Cape Town (www.miningindaba.com), providing the idealopportunity to attend both events! Now into its 10th consecutive year, our User Conference targets current and prospective users and features presentations from both our users and staff, hence offering unique and balanced insights on land, mineral rights, contract management and legal compliance. With representatives from our development, implementation, support and management teams, the event offers an excellent forum to share experiences and explore how to leverage the latest advances within FlexiCadastre. The Conference format this year will see presentations on the Friday, with Saturday set aside for some sightseeing around the spectacular Cape Peninsula! We are also looking at offering formal training workshops in conjunction with the Conference, so please let us know if you have a specific request. If you want to attend or are interested in presenting, please email us at[email protected].
Registration fees are USD400 per delegate, but this fee will be waived for confirmed presenters.Proceedings from our previous Conferences can be found at www.spatialdimension.com/Products/FlexiCadastre-Conferences
Current developments show that in the near future the wide availability of low cost, short range radio technology, along with advances in wireless networking, will enable wireless adhoc sensor networks to become commonly deployed. In these networks, each node may be equipped with a variety of sensors, such as acoustic, seismic, infrared, motion, biomedical and chemical sensors with higher level of information inference associated with identification, embedded signal processing and networking of the data. This conference intends to be the meeting point of researchers and practitioners to share experiences and ideas on innovative developments in any aspect of sensor networks, including Hardware of Sensor Networks, Wireless Communication Protocols, Sensor Networks Software and Architectures, Wireless Information Networks, Data Manipulation, Signal Processing, Localization and Object Tracking through Sensor Networks, Obstacles, Applications and Uses.
International LiDAR Mapping Forum (ILMF) is a technical conference and exhibition showcasing the latest airborne, terrestrial, and underwater LiDAR as well as emerging remote-sensing and data collection tools and technologies.
As the UAS industry continues to reach new commercial and operational heights, the state of Texas has emerged as a hotbed for current UAS activity. Equipped with the Lonestar UAS Center of Excellence test site, an unprecedented number of UAV end-user opportunities, and the support of commercial, private and state-based entities, Texas has established itself as a pillar to all things UAS.
Join UAS Magazine at the UAS Texas Summit & Expo for the first-ever comprehensive look at UAS in Texas and how the Lonestar state is shaping the industry. Produced in collaboration with the expert team from the Lonestar UAS test site, the two-day event will explain and reveal the cutting-edge research, commercial operation successes and end-user opportunities present in Texas or the region. The event will unite commercial manufacturers and operators, researchers, payload providers, platform designers, 333 exempt entities and multiple leaders spearheading UAS expansion in Texas and beyond.

The Space Symposium, held at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colo., USA, has brought together space leaders from around the world to discuss, address and plan for the future of space since the inaugural event in 1984. Attendees at that original event numbered barely 250 space enthusiasts, while participants in recent years have surpassed 11,000. The Space Symposium has become widely known as the premier U.S. space policy and program forum and as the “must attend” opportunity for information on and interaction among all sectors of space.
Called the National Space Symposium for the first 29 years, the event was renamed in 2014 to Space Symposium to reflect the event’s truly global profile.
The ASPRS annual conferences have been renamed to the Imaging & Geospatial Technology Forum (IGTF). This new brand gives ASPRS annual conferences a fresh and recognizable name, something easy and memorable.
The redesign has been created to encompass the broadest terms for our industry, “Imaging” and “Geospatial”, while incorporating the idea of “Technology” as the center and reason we all come together. We decided to use the word “Forum” instead of conference because Forum means to assemble or a meeting place for the discussion of questions, promoting open discussion and sharing. And the sharing of ideas and open discussion is the core value for each ASPRS conference. All these elements together formed the new look and feel for ASPRS annual conferences – The Imaging & Geospatial Technology Forum (IGTF 2016).
