ASD Releases the FieldSpec HandHeld 2 for Scientific and Field Spectroscopy

  • Rating12345

ASD Inc. today announced the official launch of the FieldSpec HandHeld 2 portable spectroradiometer for remote sensing research, agriculture, environmental science and oceanography. The HandHeld 2 is the latest in compact remote sensing technology from ASD using cutting-edge, near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy to instantly and non-destructively make material measurements. Self-contained data collection with significant spectrum storage capacity and an on-board color display facilitate more efficient field work by eliminating the need to be continuously connected to a computer. Other enhancements include ergonomically designed controls, laser targeting, standard AA battery power and a rugged enclosure to ensure durability and easy transport. “Building on the company’s excellence in portable NIR, the HandHeld 2 brings fast, laboratory-grade spectroscopy to field research,” said ASD CEO David Rzasa. “Well-thought out enhancements, like laser targeting and onboard data collection, make this instrument a top choice for field researchers and scientists across the world.” Read More
