The Virtual Exhibition in the Field of Geospatial Information The Geospatial Information Roadshow 2021 Opens

The Geospatial Information Roadshow 2021, hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) of Korea and organized by Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation (LX), will open in a digital venue for the first time in the field of geospatial information for five days from, March 22 to March 26.

The roadshow will kick off with the opening remarks by Jeong Ryeol Kim, CEO of LX (Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation) followed by the opening remarks of Young Woo Nam, Director General of MOLIT (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea) and the congratulatory remarks by Meskerem Brhane, Practice Manager for Urban Development, Resilience Land in East and Southern Africa at the World Bank on 22 March 2021, 10:00 am KST(GMT+9)

 

The Geospatial Information Roadshow 2021 offers a Conference section that will be attended by members of international organizations, including The World Bank, UN Habitat, and UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), and experts in the field of geospatial information from 15 countries. It will also open a Virtual Exhibition that looks at Korea’s latest geospatial information technologies. Through digital connectivity in response to the changing business environment followed by COVID-19, the roadshow aims to pursue building business channels between outstanding Korean companies and global experts.

 

Geospatial Information Industry’s WEB-VR 3D Virtual Exhibition

All participants will be able to take part in the roadshow conveniently and effectively by using functions such as Automatic Tour and Mini Map without the restriction of location, communication environment, or device. All contents will be accessible through lively 3D graphics and videos.

The roadshow exhibition is subcategorized into 5 sections, including 4 Technology Sections of different technology perspectives based on business purposes of Korean exhibiting companies, Startup Section and LX booth with a national perspective. The Technology Sections provide information on developing geospatial information database, connecting technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution, technology of developing geospatial information software, and geospatial surveying and, remote sensing allowing participants to experience key technologies of the field of geospatial information industry. LX booth offers a view into Korea’s policies and latest technology trends. In addition, roadshow will be exhibiting various attractions such as the Digital Virtual Gallery.

 

Participation of International Organizations including The World Bank and Sharing of Policy Trends and Recent Technology with Experts of Global Geospatial Information

 

The virtual roadshow’s Conference is comprised of a Special Session where international organizations such as The World Bank, UN Habitat, and UN ESCAP will attend to present on the policy and technology trends of geospatial information as well as a Regional Geo Trend Session that takes a glimpse into the status of geospatial information of different countries with the participation of 17 experts from 15 countries. There will also be a Technical Seminar where 10 exhibiting companies will discuss the technologies of Korean geospatial information and their applications overseas. Conference participants will have the opportunity to share each country’s policy trends and recent information to build global relationships and seek partners for future joint projects among countries.

 

Virtual Business Meeting, Unveiling Korea’s 26 Core Technologies of Geospatial Information Industry and Achieving Global Digital Business Connections

During the five days of the Geospatial Information Roadshow 2021, the virtual roadshow will be providing opportunities to connect with global buyers. Through a business connection in preparing for the post-COVID-19 world, the roadshow aims to play a role in generating tangible results in international cooperation in the field of geospatial information as a venue seeking co-prosperity among governments and the private sector.
