OpenGeo Introduces Suite 3.0.1, With New Pricing Options

  • Rating12345

Following the success of the OpenGeo Suite 3.0 release, the leading open source geospatial software company has released the 3.0.1 update to their flagship product. This update represents OpenGeo’s continued support of the open source communities and their clients by providing them with the most effective open source software available.

The 3.0.1 release is primarily a maintenance and assurance release that contains updates to GeoServer 2.2.1, OpenLayers 2.2.1, and GeoTools 8.2. Significant product enhancements, like the addition of server-side processing in the 3.0 release, and regular product growth have made the OpenGeo Suite a leading choice for those looking for a comprehensive spatial data platform. Many have found that the product combined with OpenGeo’s commercial support offers the highest-value, lowest-risk way for enterprises to replace legacy software with a modern web-based open source stack.

OpenGeo has also introduced a modified pricing structure with new options for anyone from the smallest developer to the largest enterprise. The addition of two support tiers (Community: One-Time and Enterprise: Plus) expands the access to open source support by offering attractive prices for smaller organizations. OpenGeo is dedicated to bringing open source geospatial software to as many as possible and is offering these tiers to satisfy the growing demand of support for issues big and small. Many have already recognized how the value of great open source software only grows with the option of commercial support behind it, the additional pricing options brings even more choice to the table

More information is available in the release notes and on the pricing page. OpenGeo Suite 3.0 is available for download free of charge with a 30-day trial of OpenGeo’s commercial support.
