Des Plaines, IL: URISA and the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) are pleased to announce the 2020 GIS/Valuation Technologies Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. Formerly known as GIS/CAMA, the event has been re-branded to take into account the abundance of technologies that, when integrated with GIS, make valuation and assessment more accurate, efficient and applicable for jurisdictions of all sizes.
For more than twenty years, the organizations have hosted a conference to discuss the importance of data and the analysis of location information for better decision-making within a jurisdiction. #GIS/ValTech2020 will feature an exhibition, pre-conference training and workshops, keynote speakers and a substantial educational program which is developed through a review of proposals received. Call for Workshop Proposals — Due August 26, 2019
The 2020 Conference Planning Committee is soliciting educational content and instructors for full-day and half-day conference workshops. Conference workshops are scheduled on Monday, March 23 and attendance at one workshop is included with full conference registration. (Workshops were extremely popular in Portland!)
Suggested topics are provided for general reference only. We welcome workshop topics of interest at all levels of expertise, from beginner to expert. Learning objectives and takeaways will be vitally important components of your proposal, along with a full course outline, any pre-requisites or knowledge required, classroom setup needs, and instructors’ biographies. If selected, instructors for each workshop may elect to receive an honorarium or free registration to the conference.

Call for Presentation Proposals—Due October 7, 2019
The education program is developed by reviewing submissions received through the Call for Presentations. The Conference Planning Committee welcomes the submission of individual papers, complete sessions, panels, and lightning talks. All abstracts will be reviewed and considered for the educational program. Suggested topics are provided for general reference only. We welcome topics of interest at all levels, from beginner to expert. The list is not meant to be restrictive, but is provided to stimulate ideas. Feel free to think outside the box. All proposals received will be reviewed and considered for the program.
