Cape, the leading cloud platform for drone telepresence and data management, today announced that CEO Chris Rittler has been selected to join the 2019 Commercial UAV Expo Americas Advisory Board. With his appointment, Rittler joins an exclusive roster of prominent leaders in the technology and commercial drone space, including executives from CNN, DJI, Intel and AT&T.
The members of the 2019 Advisory Board will play a critical role in ensuring the educational aspects of Commercial UAV Expo Americas — North America’s leading trade show and conference focused on commercial drone integration and operation across industries — provides the most relevant, actionable information possible. This includes vetting abstracts to identify key speakers, moderating workshops and participating in panel discussions.
Rittler’s appointment to the Advisory Board furthers Cape’s reputation as a company to watch in the commercial drone software space. Last month, Cape announced a major regulatory win, with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) granting the first public safety Certificate of Authorization (COA) with a provision for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) for an Integrated Pilot Program that allows for proactive emergency response. Cape worked closely with the FAA, and in partnership with the Chula Vista Police Department and Skyfire Consulting, to finalize the COA, which will open the doors for future drone integration across industries.
In addition to serving in an advisory role for Commercial UAV Expo Americas, Rittler regularly offers insight as an industry expert at national and global technology and drone conferences, including the Consumer Electronics Show, the International Drone Expo, and the Global Security Exchange.
The Commercial UAV Expo Americas will be held October 28-30, 2019 at the Westgate hotel in Las Vegas, NV. For more information on the 2019 Advisory Board, visit https://www.expouav.com/advisory-board/.
