CHICAGO– North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper declared a state of emergency on September 7, 2018, in advance of the arrival of Hurricane Florence. The predicted hurricane impact is what drove NCDOT to activate its drone response teams. DroneScape, PLLC under a multi-year contract with NCDOT, sprung to action in support. DroneScape, PLLC called on several Charlotte, NC based drone companies: Bob Asbury of Sky Sprinter, Yvonne Becker and Linda Hudson of Pro Sky Photo, Andrew Phillips of Soar Imagery and Brett Smith of Charlotte UAV. “The individuals worked tirelessly thought-out Hurricane Florence recovery efforts,” said Joe Valasquez, founder of DroneScape.
