We are pleasured to announce the creation of a new community within the gvSIG project called gvSIG Campus. This community is a new group of community created by the gvSIG Project and its main aim is to be a meeting point between students and tutors from tertiary training institutions (Bachelor’s degrees, Master’s degrees, Doctorate and so on) who want to use gvSIG to make their final projects.
Those projects are thought to be linked to different areas of knowledge: development of new tools, a comparative with other software, specific applications of the use of GIS tools and so on.

If you are interested in joining this community, we invite you to subscribe to its mailing list [2] because it is used by the members of the gvSIG Campus to comunicate each other.
Moreover, a new section called Campus has been created on the Outreach website [3]. This section includes a database with information on the final projects that the members of this community are making. Through the new Campus section any people can search not only projects that are on the way right now but also finished final projects and some ideas to implement new projects in the future.
