FARO Technologies, Inc. and KOREC, a specialist of surveying applications, have signed an agreement. Under these terms KOREC will supply the FARO Laser Scanner Focus3D. FARO is delighted to announce that it has signed a distribution agreement with KOREC to supply the FARO Laser Scanner Focus3D Laser Scanner, an instrument which uses laser technology to produce incredibly detailed three-dimensional images of complex environments and geometries in only a few minutes.
Since FARO launched the first large scale scanner, the LS 80/80 the historical sales indicated that large scale scanning has been adopted increasingly by the surveying and construction industries. Andrew Tagg, Regional Manager of FARO UK said: “KOREC have a presence and respect in these markets which you cannot buy. The cohesion between traditional surveying tools and large scanning means KOREC can leverage our “game changing” FARO Laser Scanner Focus3D, expand our market presence whilst also expanding their own product portfolio for their customers”. FARO can benefit from a very long working relationship of KOREC as a Trimble reseller. Andrew Tagg added: “When FARO changed the large scale scanning market forever with the FARO Laser Scanner Focus3D we did not just want to accelerate our Sales in the short term; we were searching for a partnership that will continue to grow and support our customers to the very highest level. The experience, service and trust that KOREC demonstrates with Trimble convinced us that this was the right solution for FARO and our customers as we continue to create the 3D documentation arena for the masses”.
Andrew Beckerson, KOREC’s Director of Sales said, “The FARO Focus3D is a ‘Game Changer’ in 3D laser scanning; it is small, light, user-friendly and very competitively priced giving the possibility to open up many opportunities for laser scanning to both new and existing adopters of this technology. When combined with Trimble’s powerful RealWorks and TBC software, 3D scan data, including colour images and traditional survey data, are easily combined providing a simple alternative to more traditional methods of data collection.”
