In just eight weeks, virtualcitySYSTEMS created over 200,000 buildings in LoD1 and LoD2 from airborne LiDAR for the Frankfurt Survey Department. The total area of the project encompassed 250km² including Frankfurt International Airport. Object attributes from the municipal ground cadastre were saved to the building geometry and finally saved in CityGML 0.4.0 and 1.0.
