  • Rating12345

Project LINE (Land INformation Europe) has been granted funding by the European Commission, General Justice, Freedom & Security. The EULIS partners submitted an application for funding to the Civil Justice Programme 2007-2013, General Justice, Freedom & Security in October 2009. 50 bids were received for the funding and projects invited for application needed to reflect the general priority of the programme for 2009, namely the area of e-Justice. Project LINE entered under the scope of a project aiming at promoting judicial cooperation in civil matters. The aim is to contribute to the creation of a genuine European area of justice in civil matters based on mutual recognition and mutual confidence. Project LINE aims to widen the community of official land registry organisations in Member States and motivate them to take part in defining the next generation of the European Land Information Service (EULIS). Participation of all European land registries in the project is a critical success factor. In alignment and direct co-operation with the Civil justice programme, the next generation EULIS 2.0 platform will make compliance with the European e-Justice portal easily attainable for land registry organisations across Europe.
