Hidden Journeys Project, Royal Geographical Society

  • Rating12345

The new, updated website is now live with a number of additions and improvements, including a Themes section which groups selected waypoints by geographical feature, providing users with a different way of exploring the world. We’ve also added a number of audio slideshows to some of our waypoints (currently available on the Bangkok to Sydney, Miami to Buenos Aires, and London to Johannesburg flight paths).

Combining engaging and informative stories with images and music, the slideshows add a new dimension to the Hidden Journeys Project. We have several more audio slideshows currently in production that will be added to the site in due course. Our newest flight path launched today provides a fantastic overview of the journey from Vancouver to Los Angeles, covering the spectacular volcanoes of the Cascades, the picturesque channels and islands of Puget Sound, the breath-taking landscapes of Yosemite National Park, and the shimmering clear waters of Lake Tahoe.

If you are interested in featuring another article about the project, do let me know and I’ll be happy to send you more information about the updates to the project or about the new flight path along with images. Read More
