NV Energy, a US-based utility company, has received approval for its $301 million smart grid and smart meter project from the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada. The company has also received $138 million grant in stimulus funding from the US Department of Energy for the implementation of the advanced service delivery (ASD) project.
