AeroGRID adds Blom Imagery of Denmark

  • Rating12345

AeroGRID has signed a data distribution agreement with BlomInfo to distribute its aerial imagery of Denmark via its WMS server. The growing AeroGRID library of highly accurate aerial imagery is being made available via WMS, the standard protocol for streaming georeferenced map imagery over the Internet to web based applications, GIS and CAD software.

“Blom welcomes further cooperation with AeroGRID which will provide the Scandinavian footprint on AeroGRID’s WMS Server. Blom’s orthophoto of Denmark is very high quality and we are pleased to introduce it to the broader international market,” said Kristian Skak-Nielsen, Managing Director of BlomInfo.

“We are very pleased to welcome Blom, one of Europe’s leading providers of geo-information and services, to the AeroGRID partnership,” said Miles Taylor, AeroGrid’s General Manager. “The addition of aerial imagery for Denmark on our WMS server means that we now provide over 1.75 million square kilometres of continuous, photogrammetrically accurate, orthophoto coverage ofWestern Europe. Since WMS feeds only load the imagery that a user actually needs to see rather than a whole dataset, it is a very convenient way for our clients to access our growing library of high resolution imagery, continued Taylor.” Read More
