Siemens Division to Focus on Green Infrastructure

Siemens AG plans a radical restructuring aimed at better positioning the German engineering giant in the growing market for green infrastructure, especially in the world’s expanding urban areas, according to people familiar with the matter. The reorganization plan, which Chief Executive Peter Löscher is expected to present at the company’s supervisory board meeting Monday, would essentially split Siemens’ wide-ranging industry division and reshuffle other businesses to create a fourth company sector.
