UNECE/FAO Forestry and Timber section has now made available forest products data for 2009. Data have now been released:

– as part of the Forest Products Annual Market Review publication, available electronically at http://timber.unece.org/fileadmin/DAM/publications/sp-25.pdf
– as part of an electronic annex to the Market Review, available at http://timber.unece.org/index.php?id=304.
– in the Forest Products Statistics, bringing together the data available for the last five years for production and trade (in volume and value) of all primary products (66) and all UNECE-region countries in individual product tables. This can be found at http://timber.unece.org/index.php?id=312.
– through the FAOSTAT website where an interactive database permits data retrieval for any parameter from 1961-2009. This is the first stop and primary source of basic forest products data worldwide. The URL is http://faostat.fao.org/site/626/default.aspx#ancor. We thank our colleagues at FAO Rome for making the data available through this portal.
