SeaZone HydroSpatial II – The UK’s Leading Marine Mapping Solution

A pilot evaluation area for SeaZone HydroSpatial Version 2.0 is to be launched in April 2011. This is a great opportunity for marine data users to evaluate and help shape the next generation of SeaZone HydroSpatial. Developments will include :

• Improved data structure and content
• Additional marine and terrestrial datasets
• Incorporation of definitive, seamless, GB land reference features (derived from OS Strategi);
• provision of discovery and data use metadata
• Intelligent feature coding (allowing users interested in data modelling to filter and query on topic, theme and sub-theme using the improved feature coding)
• Improved support material, including a searchable HydroSpatial Feature Catalogue

The Pilot Area (Milford Haven) will be available from April 2011 for evaluation. Users will be able to provide feedback via a questionnaire or through telephone discussion with SeaZone technical staff.
