Pythagoras Releases Google 3D Rendering Macro

  • Rating12345

Increasingly, when applying for permits, designing housing estates, integrating new development projects, … a 3D representation is demanded, which clearly shows the newly developed situation. We often got the question from our customers to develop a module that generates this 3D model in a simple way. So today, Pythagoras bvba presents, with great pride, the new “Google 3D Rendering” macro.

This macro is an add-on that makes a connection possible between Pythagoras, Google Sketchup and Google Earth and is specially designed for Pythagoras version 12.20. By preparing a drawing in Pythagoras based on some simple rules (configuration file), the macro converts objects in this drawing (polygons, lines, points and DTM’s) without any problem to the 3D environment of Google Sketchup. In Google SketchUp, the rough model can be finished, then it can easily be imported into Google Earth. The link below shows a video : http://www.pythagoras.net/index.php/en/home/vba-macros
