Manatron, Inc. Acquires International Land Systems (ILS), Inc

Manatron, Inc. announced it has acquired International Land Systems (ILS) Inc., creating a new international business arm. Manatron International, a new company created as a result of the acquisition will oversee all ILS projects in the United States. The acquisition was led by private equity firm Thoma Bravo, LLC. Financial terms were not disclosed.

 

Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Silver Spring, Md., ILS delivers sustainable land recording and registration systems and consulting for public and private sector clients worldwide. ILS’ software systems include land registration and cadastral solutions for managing and administering land information. ILS has extensive knowledge of registration systems and land tenure types and brings unparalleled expertise in business process reengineering, legal review and system design.

 

ILS has deployed software and provided services and training in more than 30 countries worldwide including: China, Qatar, Jamaica, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Nicaragua, Germany, Ghana, Nigeria, and the United States. The company has satellite offices located in Kiev, Ukraine and Cochabamba, Bolivia.

 

ILS’ experience and expertise in international cadastre and registry systems will be complemented by Manatron’s proven systems in tax and valuation to create a total package to address the challenges of land administration.

 

Peter Rabley, president and CEO of ILS, will become part of the executive leadership team at Manatron and will serve as executive vice president of International Land Systems (ILS), Inc. ILS has a staff of approximately 85 employees located in three countries who joined Manatron effective December 31, 2010. Rabley and the ILS management team are committed to the future success of ILS as a Manatron company.

The acquisition only strengthens our position as a global leader in integrated land administration software and services.”

 

President and CEO of Manatron Bill McKinzie added, “operating as one company, we can seamlessly go from providing systems that document legal property ownership to systems that value the property and its structures, giving governments the information they need to effectively tax properties.  We will offer the only truly ‘complete’ land records solution on the market.”

 

ILS will add full-time staff to encompass its tax and valuation initiatives including Senior Land Economist, Dr. Joseph Eckert and Vice President of Valuation and Taxation, Ruel Williamson. They bring strong backgrounds in valuation and taxation systems through Manatron’s work in South Africa and Trinidad and Tobago.
