Infigen Gets Nod for Solar Farm

The company, which traditionally builds wind farms in Australia and overseas, has partnered with the world’s biggest solar panel maker, Suntech, for the $300 million project which will have a 100-megawatt capacity, or enough to power 20,000 homes. The solar farm will cover 200 hectares at Nyngan, in the state’s west. The electricity generated by the plant will be fed directly to the Nyngan substation.
