Planning Awards in Scotland

  • Rating12345

The Scottish Government runs the Scottish Awards for Quality in Planning. Launched in 1998 they look to promote quality developments that have been achieved through effective planning processes. They celebrate the positive contributions that individuals and organisations in all sectors make to enabling high quality development in Scotland.

There are four categories of award:

  • Development Plans
  • Development Management
  • Development on the Ground
  • Community Involvement.

Anyone can enter, including local authorities, consultants, developers, voluntary organisations and community groups.

A panel of 3 judges make their recommendations for awards and commendations to Scottish Ministers. They may also recommend an Overall Winner Award for outstanding achievement.

Information on the 2010 competition is available on the 2010 Competition page.
