  • Rating12345

SuperGeo Technologies, the leading global provider of complete GIS software and solutions, has won the 6th ‘Gold Map Award’ by means of its ‘Taiwan Biodiversity Network’ platform. Held by Taiwan Geographic Information Society (TGIS), Gold Map Award is to recognize the outstanding applications and technical innovation of GIS technologies. This year, SuperGeo received ‘Best Promotion Service’ of Gold Map Award by ‘Taiwan Biodiversity Network.’ This is the 4th time for SuperGeo to gain the award, in addition to ‘Best Product Technology’ and ‘Best Application Systems’ in the previous years. Different from other biodiversity websites, Taiwan Biodiversity Network includes various application services, such as web map services, personal survey track, blog embedding, and several analytical applications. The public can freely access the website to share and query the rich biodiversity data on visualized maps. Combining the techniques of WMS, SuperWebGIS, SuperGIS Mobile Engine, API Services, VGI (Volunteered Geographic information), and Web 2.0, Taiwan Biodiversity Network successfully demonstrates the diverse biological data and its distribution on maps. This GIS platform not only popularizes bio-data and resources, but also contributes to the ecology conservation and sustainable development for the environment. Read More
