Skanska invests EUR 29 M in the office project Green Horizon in Łódź in Poland. In a first phase Skanska will build 19 000 square meters. This can later be extended to 33 000. The first lease on 11 500 square meters has already been signed. Green Horizon is Skanska Property Poland’s first office investment in Łódź. The total space for lease in two phases is 33 000 sqm. The first phase will be completed in October 2012 and will comprise of about 19 000 square meters. The first lease for 11 500 square meters is already signed.
Skanska will also move its Łódź office into Green Horizon, occupying the additional space of 2 300 square meters. The project will start immediately and the construction contract on EUR 23 M will be booked by Skanska Construction in the second quarter of 2011.

Green Horizon will be LEED Gold certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). The investment will also comply with the requirements of the GreenBuilding European programme. By chosing the right material and using modern technological solutions the building will have an optimal resource management, saving water and energy.
