4th Italian gvSIG Conference

From 19th to 21st April 2011, the 4th Italian gvSIG Conference (Quarte Giornate Italiane di gvSIG) [1] will be held in the “Auditorium della Regione Autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia”, in Udine (located in via Volturno).  The meeting, organized by the Direzione centrale delle risorse rurali, agroalimentari e forestali della Regione Autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Dipartimento di Scienze della Vita of the Università degli Studi di Trieste, and the gvSIG Association, sponsorized by Cartesio of the Università degli Studi di Udine, the Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Sperimentale – OGS, of the Provincia Autonoma di Bolzano/Bozen, and the Comune di Tavagnacco, is an interesting meeting point for changing experiences between users and developers from Italy and Central Europe. Some international presentations are also planned.

 

The call for papers is now open, and proposals can be sent to the email address: [email protected] (consult Presentation rules [2]), until March 16th.

Registration period will be openned in February 16th.

At the Conference, there will be seminaries and presentations about the new gvSIG 1.11 version, laser scanning and 3D extensions, gvSIG Mobile 1.0, like in the 6th gvSIG Conference, in December 2010 in Valencia.

Some case studies about urban planning, hydrology, education… will be presented too.
