PARIS AIR SHOW, Paris, June 15, 2015 — UTC Aerospace Systems expands support to customers with a new Cloud Cap Technology Surveillance Training & Services Center, providing education, hands-on experience and the support of a team of experts to users of its airborne reconnaissance payloads. Cloud Cap now offers customers classroom-based simulation and real-time training on operation, maintenance and image optimization of their electro-optical / infrared (EO/IR) imaging systems, including TASE gimbals and Piccolo autopilots. UTC Aerospace Systems is a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).
“We have a long history of providing products for military, civil and commercial applications. While we’ve been sharing our expertise with users as-needed in the past, we are now offering this benefit in a more formal manner,” said Greg Davis, director of business development for Cloud Cap Technology. “The new center demonstrates our commitment to customer service, to quality training, and to helping our customers achieve mission success.”
The training facility supports customer education in two ways: by providing real-time surveillance training, simulation and airborne services; and developing custom curriculum for users with specific requirements, typically for airborne law enforcement and commercial applications. The facility features 10 stations, each with a full video simulation environment, giving students experience with the state-of-the-art EO/IR cameras.
The center is also home to a “rapid response” team of experts who will quickly deploy to a customer site to help solve complex system integration issues when knowledge is needed on a short-term basis.
The Surveillance Training & Services Center is located at the Cloud Cap Technology facilities in Hood River, Oregon, and training is also available at the customer site. For more information on classes and schedules, please visit www.cloudcaptech.com.
