  • Rating12345

Herndon, Virginia, July 11, 2016 —The United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) is excited to announce two additions to its Board of Directors—Dr. L. Roger Mason Jr. and Carmen Medina. Both Mason and Medina began their three-year terms in June. USGIF’s Board now includes 27 directors representing the many aspects of the broad and expanding GEOINT Community.

“The addition of Carmen Medina and Roger Mason to the USGIF Board, with their expertise and comprehensive understanding of geospatial technologies and analytic tradecraft with evolved mission specific demands, will allow the USGIF Board to better anticipate and address the needs of our membership,” said USGIF Chairman of the Board The Honorable Jeffrey K. Harris. “It’s important for our Board to have intimate knowledge about the communities we serve. I look forward to leveraging Roger and Carmen’s expertise.”

Medina is founder of MedinAnalytics and co-founder of RebelsatWork.com. She has 32 years of experience with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and upon her retirement from the agency, she received the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal. In 2014, Medina published a book about her CIA career titled “Rebels at Work: A Handbook for Leading Change from Within.”

Mason is senior vice president of national security and intelligence and chief security officer for Noblis, where he is responsible for the overall direction of the company’s national security mission. Prior to joining Noblis, Mason was the first assistant director of national intelligence for systems and resource analyses (ADNI/SRA). He was awarded the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal—the Intelligence Community’s highest award for his service as ADNI/SRA.
