Thvilum Includes 36 Danish Water and District Heating Suppliers Into Geo-Portal

  • Rating12345

Thvilum started working with g.on aimPort by using it when providing services to their numerous Danish customers. These mostly use AutoCad LT with Thvilum GIS to edit and view their maps of water or heating distribution networks. After editing these maps, the users are now able to upload them directly to aimPort and view their edited maps on the Internet.

For this, they don’t need any manual migration as everything works automatically. The water suppliers only need to upload their data to the Thvilum server and everything is performed without their help. g.on aimPort is based on Oracle and data conversion from Autocad to the Oracle server is performed automatically. CEO Jesper Thvilum is satisfied: “In the beginning, we used g.on aimPort as a tool to help us perform our service tasks more efficiently. Later, our customers where so impressed, that they wanted to purchase the software for their daily use. At present, we have 36 clients for aimPort. 23 of these systems are already in productive use. I admit that we are proud of this success.” Read More
