Teledyne Optech Takes Latest Disaster Management Tools to Beijing Expo

  • Rating12345

June 2, 2015 — Teledyne Optech is pleased to announce that it will be present at the 2015 Beijing Int’l Disaster Prevention and Reduction & Emergency Industry Expo being held at the China National Convention Center on June 4-6, 2015.

Visitors interested in technologies to help plan, respond and recover from natural disasters can learn more about Teledyne Optech’s latest solutions at booth C032.

Groups looking to monitor critical coastal areas and rivers can learn how the new Optech CZMIL Nova’s lighter weight and more compact design can save on operational costs, while finding out more about the CZMIL Project Program and how it provides access to this amazing technology, including experienced technicians, without the need for sensor purchase and maintenance. Designed using Teledyne Optech’s decades of experience in lidar bathymetry, CZMIL Nova surveys deeper than any other comparable system in turbid or muddy bottomed conditions and can penetrate up to 80 meters in clear waters. CZMIL is performance tested in the field, with several government agencies relying on its unique capabilities to perform erosion monitoring, navigation channel inspection, rapid response surveying and environmental surveying.

Teledyne Optech will also present several other technologies for the rapid collection of 3D data, including the PulseTRAK™ technology that enables the new Optech Galaxy airborne lidar to collect dense and highly accurate data efficiently with no gaps, even in highly rugged terrain. Attendees concerned with transportation safety and monitoring can hear more about the Optech Lynx mobile systems and how they efficiently produce highly accurate 3D data of urban infrastructure and asset condition both pre- and post-disaster. Producing survey-grade 3D data from a moving vehicle or boat, the Lynx mobile system leverages Optech LMS 3.0 automation for fast and efficient processing that meets the demands of emergency management. Finally, the long-range Optech ILRIS terrestrial laser scanner is rugged and deployable in harsh environments with remote operation, providing accurate surveys of volcanoes, dangerous areas, and potential rockslides from a safe distance.
