Small Target Detection Based on Radar

  • Rating12345

Researching in small target detection based on radar makes it necessary to search for targets with a signal to noise (clutter) ratio of less than 1. In order to detect targets in such environments VisSim has developed an extensive library of pattern recognition and parameters analysis algorithms for studying of sea clutter. For this research VisSim has developed a Video Extractor Module, which acquires radar data with a high sampling rate (up to 100 MHz) and delivers raw digitized radar video for different radar video processing applications. The technology we are using for acquisition of radar signals allows us to perform several types of processing based on the same radar, e.g. tracking targets for VTS purpose, detecting Oil Spills, calculating wave parameters, etc. Read More
