Scientists from Aarhus University are working with private companies on developing modern satellite technology to improve the logistics of agricultural field work. Agricultural contractors and large farms have a whole army of agricultural machinery and operations to control. This requires fine-tuning of logistics as excess driving is inefficient and costs both time, money and fuel. A new project that scientists at Aarhus University are participating in will be examining how modern satellite technology can coordinate the driving so not a single minute or kilometre is wasted.
