Washington, DC, USA, June 23, 2015 — Progressive Technology Federal Systems Inc. (PTFS), provider of Knowvation, an Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS) suite, announced today at the GEOINT 2015 Symposium in Washington, D.C., that its Knowvation GS geospatial application is available as a listing in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace.
AWS Marketplace enables customers to compare options, read reviews, and quickly find and deploy software. Visitors to AWS Marketplace can use 1-Click® deployment to launch Knowvation GS which is available for consumption on an hourly basis (AWS usage fees apply).
Knowvation GS is a web-based geospatial content management system (GeoCMS) that provides search and discovery and manages structured and unstructured content, including born-digital and digitized files, across multiple repositories in the enterprise. Fully modular, Knowvation GS enables users to interrogate and retrieve content by searching on geospatial parameters, metadata, and/or full text. Searchable content includes raster/vector geospatial files, documents, books, newspapers, video, audio, photographs and other files in all formats.
“AWS provides flexibility to customers by closely matching usage requirements with customers’ needs,” said Dan Quinn, PTFS Vice President. “Instead of a rigid perpetual license model, AWS moves us toward a flexible usage pricing model.”
Knowvation GS users can perform geospatial searches on big data archives containing more than 200 different file formats and product types. Format-agnostic geospatial queries can be initiated by typing a word/phrase, entering latitude/longitude coordinates or drawing a polygon on a map interface.
PTFS will demonstrate the Knowvation GeoCMS solution in booth #2083 at the GEOINT 2015 Symposium being held June 22-25 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
