Paris Selects ArcGIS as Its Geospatial Technology Platform

  • Rating12345

The City of Paris signed an enterprise license agreement (ELA) with Esri France, making ArcGIS software available throughout the city. The agreement enables the city to build an enterprise-wide geographic information system (GIS) to increase efficiency and improve services.

Paris currently utilizes a combination of Esri technology and open source solutions to power nearly 30 different geospatial systems that support everything from its public-facing website to waste management operations. With broad access to the latest ArcGIS software, the city intends to consolidate its vast geographic data resources and establish a centralized GIS that provides a more accurate and comprehensive picture of the complex workings of this major city.
