Optech Announces Rapid Mobilization Platform for Lynx Mobile Mapper

  • Rating12345

Optech Incorporated is pleased to announce a new lightweight, state-of-the-art mounting platform for its Lynx Mobile Mapper. The newly designed rack features rigid mounting points and latching that virtually eliminate any slippage or vibration, ensuring consistent survey results and increased repeatability. The lightweight but durable enclosure with sealed thermal windows protects the sensors from inclement weather, temperature extremes, high humidity and dust, thus contributing to long-term performance reliability. Lynx Mobile Mapper owners will appreciate how easy it is to install, and the fact that it is backwards-compatible with earlier models. Daina Morgan, Product Manager for the Lynx Mobile Mapper, says, “Lynx customers were looking for high portability and repeatability, and Optech has answered their needs with a smaller, lighter and portable mounting platform. While maintaining modularity and serviceability, we were able to improve the ease of sensor mounting, array box mobilization, demobilization, accuracy and repeatability. The new format allows for quick installation and deployment but still lets users define their own unique sensor and camera configuration.” www.optech.com
